Blake Lively and Penn Badgley are confirming they've broken up...and Lively already has her hands on another one of our many celebrity crushes.
Pictures have recently surfaced that feature Lively hanging out and laughing-it-up at the happiest place on earth, Disneyland, with Ryan Gosling right on her heels.
Fans first heard word of a potential break-up Back during New York Fashion Week in September, when Badgley wasn't front-row-sitting and party-hopping with his gorgeous gal-pal because he wanted to 'let her shine solo'.
Penn Badgley is arguably a pretty good-looking guy with a pretty hot girlfriend, his "Gossip Girl" co-star Blake Lively. But as it turns out, the actor hasn't always come up with the best ideas for Halloween costumes. In fact, one year his idea was so bad there wasn't a girl in sight who was willing to chat him up.
"I was 14 years old and ... went to [Burbank, California, costume shop] Cinema Secrets and I got a big old prosthetic scar and blood dripping from my face done so that it looked really nice," he said. "It was the worst idea ever because it turned off literally every girl at the party."
It was an experience that seems to have stuck with the 22-year-old all these years later. "And I was 14, thinking I was so hot. It was terrible," he said. "It was the worst idea I ever had."
As for this year, the actor admitted he hasn't finalized any costume ideas yet. "I don't know. My birthday's the day after, so at midnight every Halloween it becomes my birthday," he said. "Well, I'm sure I'll do something fun."
PENN BADGLEY went looking for a rock 'n' roll experience, and eventually it found him.
On a recent Wednesday night, Mr. Badgley, 22, the "Gossip Girl" star, was shopping at Other Music, an independent record store in the East Village. Under the noses of a couple of indifferent clerks who either did not know who he was or did not care, Mr. Badgley bought a stack of CDs by artists ranging from the hip-hop performer RZA to the Malian kora player Toumani Diabate.
Outside, he confessed that his acquisitions were mostly impulse buys that his "Gossip Girl" salary could easily finance. "That's one of the greatest things about working in TV," he said in a low deadpan.
On "Gossip Girl," Mr. Badgley plays Dan Humphrey, the perennially upstanding (if prolifically romantic) member of a cadre of privileged young New Yorkers. The gig has been good for his wallet, his music collection and his love life - he is dating his "Gossip Girl" co-star, Blake Lively.
Spotted: Penn Badgley sporting some major new facial hair growth. The Gossip Girl star (and real-life boyfriend to costar Blake Lively) is saying good-bye to his clean-shaven baby face and adding some serious facial hair that borders on a beard. Could this be Dan's new grown-up college look? Or is Penn just taking a more relaxed approach to his personal grooming these days while on hiatus from the CW show? Either way, we want to know what you think of his new hipster look. Tell us: Do you prefer Penn clean-shaven or hairy?
Hollywood's love for Gossip Girl (all new tonight!) hasn't ever been a secret, but lately Tinseltown's starlets have been seriously loose-lipped about their crushes on Upper East Siders Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick and Penn Badgley.
Taylor Swift told the most recent issue of Your Prom magazine that Crawford would be her "celeb dream date" and "Bleeding Love" singer Leona Lewis conveniently put him in her video. Meanwhile, Heroes' Kristen Bell told us she was "digging" Westwick, and Hilary Duff said she loves him but "he's so bad and terrible."
So who else has taken a side?
