< back to main Letting bygones be bygones, Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr were spotted getting affectionate by their hotel pool in Los Angeles today (May 17). Previously, Ed and Jessica were said to be having relationship problems after reports of infidelity began to surface. But now that they've been spotted in each other's embrace, it looks like Ed and Jessica are back off the market!  New Moon's Ashley Greene is one busy lady - she's been filming Eclipse up in Vancouver, but it seems she found time to head back down to Los Angeles to check out an event hosted by Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick at Confederacy. Ed was joined by his offscreen girlfriend and onscreen costar Jessica Szhor, as well as Gossip Girl newbie Hilary Duff. Guess the group hopped on a flight from NYC to LA for the event. Interestingly enough, Gossip Girl star and one-time Ashley hookup Chace Crawford was nowhere to be seen! Why would he miss this chance to see his girl Ashley?
 How was Ed Westwick on Californication? Was he good? Should he be a recurring character? Should he stay a Gossip Girl? Was he better acne-scarred and addled in Children Of Men? You've probably blocked that from your memory.
Westwick turned up on Showtime's preposterously crude whole-life crisis David Duchovny show this Sunday. He played one of Duchovny's students, a nascent writer who likes vampires a lot. To its credit, the show worked that angle for all its inherent insanity and then some. There was something pleasingly meta about Westwick, who's on a show fetishized by silly girls everywhere, moonlighting on another show as someone who fetishizes something else silly girls fetishize--vampires. Wow. What a sentence. At any rate, it was a thrilling collision of fads. Hank Moody continues to use his charm to escape from getting into trouble. Next week on "Californication", the newly anointed, and decidedly reluctant, professor grapples with teaching an undergrad creative writing course.
A brutally honest assessment of a student's work lands Hank in hot water. In order to placate the Dean and maintain his position, Hank visits the student to make amends. Damage controlled, Hank ends up giving gorgeous and talented writing student Jackie a ride to her surprising place of employment. Meanwhile, Charlie overly concerns himself with roommate Marcy's dating life to disastrous results. Ed Westwick guest stars as the student, Peter Gallagher as the Dean and Eva Amurri as Jackie. "The Land of Rape and Honey" airs on Sunday, October 4 on Showtime. Extended sneak peek of the episode is available at the show's official site.
